In 2002 Svartur Dödur recorded their debut album Absurdum ad Infinitatem. And into this album they poured their cruelty, their malice and their will to dominate all life. The album was released in a limited run to critical acclaim.

Russian music journalist Mordreth of Obscure Abhorrence had the following to say about the album: "Add to this erudite as the bass guitar, wheezing slightly poisonous croaking screaming, and it turns out just a fun holiday retardation" and summed up the review as such: "As a result, we have a fucking record that you can listen to virtually unlimited number of cycle times and each time have fun."

In 2014 the stars aligned and so Svartur Dödur saw fit to unleash their abomination on a larger scale for all the world to hear/fear. Not for the weak of mind, this sonic vortex of compact darkness is an attack on all senses. It does things to your mind, man!

Originating in the suburban ghetto of Sollentuna, north of Stockholm, Svartur Dödur was founded in 1998. Their style mixes the dark atmosphere of the northern forests, with a very "street" attitude.

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days.
